Getting started
Explore the existing Typvs study before reading its data.
The quickest way to understand Typvs is to inspect the HOno study on the homepage. It shows four letterforms as contours and lets you move between a set of weights and two styles.
1. Open the study
Select Explore the study. The central drawing displays the letterforms; the controls beneath it adjust weight and Roman / Italic. Preset buttons let you jump to regular, bold, or italic views.
2. Inspect construction
Use the Outline, Nodes, and Measures tabs in the study toolbar. Outline shows the letter contours. Nodes adds the on-curve points and handles used in the drawing. Measures adds horizontal reference lines including the baseline, x-height, cap height, ascender, and descender.
The contour is the visible result. Nodes and measurements expose decisions that would otherwise remain inside the shape.
3. Compare related forms
Scroll to the use cases. The left column moves between anatomy, family comparison, measured bounds, and form variations while the right preview updates with a Hamburgefontsiv specimen. On a narrow screen, choose a use case from the list.
Next steps
Read Representation for the overall idea, then Contours and nodes for the geometry. The JSON shown in Examples is explanatory data, not a request you can send to a service.
